Austrian artist Denise Rudolf Frank has a unique style and practice which is focused on freedom of  expression for the artist as well as freedom of interpretation for the viewer. Frank’s paintings are  created with certain emotions in mind, but aside from this connection, she posits no other singular  meaning. This open invitation from Frank to draw our own conclusions mirrors her own desires as an  artist to create without abandon ⎯ often applying paint directly from the tube to the canvas and  spreading it with her hands. When First saw her works in early 2022, he was immediately taken by how particular and bold they were. Many of Frank’s paintings are of faces like what we see here in  HEAT HATE. The effect of pure color on canvas combined with the many intriguing textures and  shapes throughout the composition draw us in ⎯ compelling us to find our own interpretations, our  own selves, and our own freedoms.
