Caroline Absher
In Twilight, Caroline Absher depicts a semi-abstracted and somewhat autobiographical figure alone in a foliage festooned spot. The work focuses on contemplation, creativity, and growth. It was during Absher’s residency at the Cabin LA that she became aware of her skills as an artist, and, simultaneously, with the help of a hypnotist, was able to abandon alcohol, cigarettes, and much of social media. Absher is represented by Fredericks & Freiser Gallery in New York City where she will have a solo exhibition in May of 2023.
